- Quilt top should be pressed and free of all loose thread with all thread tails cut and all seams pressed flat and secure.
- Mark the top of the quilt with a safety pin if it is directional.
- Backing needs to be 5" larger than the quilt top, both width and length. Please press the backing flat.
- Batting needs to be 5" larger than the quilt top, both width and length, if you are providing.
- Please be sure your quilt top and backing are square and flat. See instructions on making sure borders added will be square.
To ensure that your quilt top and backing are square, measure across the top, bottom and center. These should be the same
measurement. If these are not the same measurement, this could result in puckers during the quilting process.
- You may provide the batting. Please, no high loft polyester batting. We use Hobbs 80/20 cotton/Poly batting that you may purchase from us if you choose.
- If you prewashed your quilt top fabric, it is highly recommended that you also prewash your backing fabric.
See Quilting Pricies page for additional charges.
